Peppy

The Young Queen

Princess Peppy was accustomed to dealing with a nonchalant father, and a careless mother. After all they had a kingdom to deal with, but still, could they not spare a second of their idolized time to care for their daughter. Of course, they'd hired tutors for her, but that was only preporation for the day they passed. The day she would become queen. Although becoming queen would seem glamorous, and even, exciting to most girls of her age, they never knew the cost of respect.
The cold air brushed the young fox's fur as she trotted to her tutor's. Her parents had offered her a shofer, and horses to bring her in a carriage, but she didn't want to abuse her power.
In her hand she held her softest plush dolphin.
She was 13 at the time, but wouldn't leave the castle without something gentle, and heart warming. She knew it was childish, but plushies were the only way she could remind herself that she was never alone. Not even when her parents brushed her aside like burrs stuck in their fur.
Peppy hummed a soft tune she'd heard earlier as she trotted.
Her paws grew chilly against the hard ground.
Something in her head haunted her, it kept repeating, and repeating. A shrill voice chanting the words; They'll be gone soon, They'll be gone soon...
Where had she heard this?
Was this some kind of sick joke?
Or was she going insane?
No.
That wasn't it at all. The voice was of a servant, he'd been so loyal, one could have brushed this off as silly, but something seemed off...
Peppy's father had been talking about a war he'd refused to partake in, but that didn't mean anything... He was just a servant, it's not like he could do any harm to the king.
After visiting her tutor, Peppy decided it best to call a carriage. She was spooked by the idea, that the stubby, panda servant could be lurking off somewhere in the streets.
When she'd telegraphed home, which was only a few short blocks away, she hadn't recieved a reply in hours. Until a response finally found it's way into Peppy's paws.
It read;
My dearest, your mother has passed along with your father. We congradulate you on your newly gained power, my Queen.
We are at your will, and will send our finest carriage. Do not worry, my queen, we have exacuted the fiend, and you shall be safe in your palace.
A marriage has been arranged, and you're not permitted to back down, by order of the previous king, your father.
"Congradulations?" Peppy mocked the disgusting letter as tears soaked her furry cheeks.

Just 5 years later her husband had dabbled with dark magic, thus ending his own life. Peppy fealt so alone, her plushies still lining their bed...
Being 18, and feeling so alone, she took the Mt.Shiveer, about to crack the ice, she almost fell in when a stocky seal stopped her.
She'd told her about her orphanage, how she could change the lives of some young orphans. She thanked her, she knew the pain. She knew that she was supposed to keep the royal blood in the family, but she couldn't.
She adopted to beautiful toddlers Jake, and Violet. They now continue to rule Celestial Towers with no regrets, and in the knowledge they aren't alone

Dark King

I sighed, my arranged husband who been dabbling with dark magic was out late again
Probably learning new spells from the warlocks...
At least those were thoughts crossing my mind every night than.
He couldn't have gone too far with his spells. He knew that. Yet I sensed his need for power growing. I would tell him he was already king of a small, but loyal kingdom. He had no need for power. Yet he would rant on about how this "dark" magic could get him wherever he wanted.
This was before Violet, and Jake came along. Maybe if he'd had another focus...
He swore to me the curses he put upon me would have no effect, but I knew better...
I started to avoid him at all costs, he couldn't turn me into the monster he was becoming.
He needed help.
I guess that's one thing other than power I couldn't give to him...
I never wanted to marry him, heck I was forced to.
One day he took things too far, and dark magic consumed his brain... whole....
He became power hungry, evil, and a force in which no one could defeat.
He exclaimed at the top of his longs chants like, "YOU SHALL NOT PRESENT YOURSELF, PEASANT TO THE ALL KNOWING KING," as he battled his own death.
The darkness became to much for him to handle as he fell to his knees afraid of himself.
He choked, and breathed the last breath of selfish king.
Terrified I ran to Mt.Shiveer, seeking help, or maybe an end to all of this...
I came across a seal, and that's when Violet and Jake came along.
They never had to deal with a father as evil as the king, but what chills me every day is they never had to deal with a father at all...
(Note- There NEVER was actually a king in Celestial Towers, this is just my excuse for not having one at the moment X3 Oh, and I tried to keep things mellow at the death scene, I wouldn't want to scare the kiddies X3)
